EAMCET 2018

EAMCET 2018 is conducted for getting admissions into the UG courses related to Agriculture, Medical, and Engineering under the University JNTU that is Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University along with other private and government colleges of Telangana and AP. As it is a state level examination, it is important to note some criteria for eligibility and other important issues like notification, exam fees, application form submission online, test date, the pattern of examination, syllabus, EAMCET 2018 admit card, counseling etc. which have been discussed below:-

EAMCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

12th class from Andhra Pradesh or Telangana. Candidates from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are only eligible to apply for EAMCET 2018. There are special criteria which separate locals and non-locals as related to eligibility norms available on the official website of EAMCET 2018.

Age Limit:

The minimum age to apply for EAMCET 2018 is 17 years as on 31st December 2014 and the maximum age should be 22 years of age for general category. Candidates belonging to Indian nationality or with Andhra Pradesh domicile with the 12th class from AP or Telangana can only apply.

Reservation:

There is a provision for reservation for various categories under SC, ST, BC and differently abled candidates in EAMCET 2018 for admission into various courses related to Agriculture, Engineering and Medical stream in government and private colleges under JNTU. Special reservation quota for state candidates and for All India JEE rank holders can be seen at the official website of EAMCET 2018.

EAMCET Notification 2018

The notification for online submission of forms is released in January. The application forms are filled in February. The last date to submit online application forms is in March with late fees. The forms are to be sent along with required documents to the regional coordinator or to the Convener at given address as mentioned in the instructions to fill the EAMCET 2018 Application form.

The fees to fill the form for Engineering is Rs. 250 and for medical and agriculture is Rs. 250. The fees for all streams combined is Rs. 500. ADD can also be sent to the regional coordinator of JNTU along with other documents as an offline mode.

EAMCET 2018 Exam Pattern

The EAMCET 2018 examination will take place on 10th of May 2018 in two shifts that are: from 10 am to 1 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The exam is divided into two parts. The first exam is related to Engineering and the second one is for Medical and Agriculture aspirants.

Both the exams are separate with no negative marking and 160 objective type questions in each making it a 3 hours exam each. 40 questions will be asked about Physics and Chemistry each and 80 questions from Mathematics. One mark will be given for each correct answer. The medium of the examination is English and Telugu with the provision of Urdu language at Hyderabad center.

EAMCET 2018 Syllabus Details

EAMCET Hall Ticket 2018

The hall ticket for EAMCET 2018 can be downloaded from the official website of the examination in April 2018.

The exam will be held on 10th of May 2018.

The result date for EAMCET will be notified further as per the official details on the official website of the examination.

The candidates need to get 25% marks to qualify the EAMCET exam for General category candidates and there are no qualifying criteria for SC/ST candidates.

EAMCET Document Verification 2018

Only those candidates who qualify the exam with minimum criteria set will be called for the counselling session conducted by JNTU. The EAMCET 2018 counselling is conducted in two stages which comprise of:

1. Document verification.
2. Counselling round.

The candidates with incomplete and duplicate documents will be disqualified due to unsatisfactory documents.

In the second stage, the qualified candidate avails the opportunity to choose their college priority in descending order which will be allotted to them further according to their ranks.
