Goa Combined Entrance Test 2017
The Goa CET is conducted by the Government of Goa, Directorate of Technical Education, Centralized Admission Division for admissions in the first year of professional courses including M.B.B.S., B.H.M.S., B.E., B.PHARM, B.ARCH, B.SC NURSING and A.H.S. The GCET has a common prospectus for all the courses. The courses will be imparted at various professional colleges located in Goa. The prospectus is available online on the official website.
GCET 2017 application form
The GCET 2017 application form is available on the website http://www.dtegoa.gov.in/. There are 2 sets of forms viz. Form A and Form B. Form A is for applying to appear in GCET 2017. Form B is for admission to all the courses. Candidates have to fill the application form after downloading it. The filled application form, a demand draft of Rs 1500 (application fee) made in favor of Director of Technical Education- payable at Panaji), self attested photocopies of educational documents and 3 passport size photographs has to be submitted in person at the GCET application from collection centers mentioned below.

GCET 2017 Eligibility
The candidate must be at least 17 years of age (on or before December 2016) if he/she seeks admission into medicine, dentistry, homeopathy, nursing and other allied health sciences courses. There is no minimum or maximum age limit for admission to pharmacy, engineering and architecture.
Education qualification required for admission to MBBS, BHMS, BDS and AHS– The candidate must have passed his/her 12th standard exam with english and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Chemistry, Physics and Biology taken together. The lower limit is relaxed for physically handicapped candidates to 45%. It is 40% for SC, ST and OBC candidates.
Education qualification required for admission to B.Sc Nursing– The candidate must have passed his/her 12th standard exam with at least 50% marks. He/she must have also obtained in aggregate at least 50% marks in English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology taken together. The lower percentage limit for passing in 12th standard exam is 45% for SC and ST candidates
Educational qualification required for admission to Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) – The candidate must have passed his/her 12th standard exam with subjects Physics, Mathematics, English. The 4th subject can be Biotechnology or Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science. He/she must have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate in the three subjects Mathematics, Physics and Biotechnology or Chemistry or Biology or Computer Science.
Education requirements for admission to B.Pharm– The candidate must have passed the 12th standard exam and must have studied English, Physics and Chemistry along with a 4th subject which can be Biotechnology or Computer Science or Mathematics or Biology. He/she must have obtained at least 45% in aggregate in the 4 subject combination. The lower percentage requirement is 40% for SC, ST and OBC candidates.
Educational qualification requirement for admission to B.Arch– The candidate must have passed the 12th standard exam with Mathematics as one of the subjects. He/she should have obtained at least 50% mark in the 12th standard exam (45% for SC, ST and OBC). Those having 10+ 3 diploma with at least 50% marks can also apply. Only candidates who score at least 80/200 in NATA or National Aptitude Test in Architecture will be considered for admission.
The GCET exam is only for candidates who have passed their 12th standard exam from a school in Goa. Also, the candidate must have resided in the state of Goa for a minimum period of 10 years. Those candidates whose parents or grandparents were born in Goa must be living in Goa for continuously 5 years.
All the qualifications (12th standard) must be obtained from the Goa state board or any board recognized by the Government of Goa or Central Government.

GCET 2017 examination pattern
The GCET 2017 will consist of questions on the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. The candidates will take the question papers based on his course preferences. A candidate must have good knowledge of his/her +2 syllabus to obtain good marks and rank in GCET 2017.
GCET 2017 Important dates
- Date/ time period for submission of Application Form A of GCET 2017 and collection of admit cards: March-April 2017.
- Conduct of GCET 2017: First week of May 2017.
- Date/time period of submission of Application Form B: 3rd week of May 2017
- Commencement of admissions- form Mid June 2017
- Expected date of result of GCET 2017 exam- Second week May 2017
Subject wise schedule of GCET exam
Physics- ___ May 2017 from 10 am to 12 noon.
Chemistry- ___ May 2017 form 2pm to 4pm
Mathematics – on ___ May 2017 from 10 am to 12 noon
Biology- on ___ May 2017 from 2 pm to 4 pm.
The GCET 2017 will be conducted at various test center located in Goa.
GCET 2017 Admit Card
The admit card of GCET 2017 will be issued to the candidates by the Goa Technical education Board. The candidates must carry the admit card to their respective centers. The admit cards will have their names, exam center name, roll no etc printed on them.
