NATA (national aptitude test in architecture) is a mandatory examination for those who want to make their career in the architecture field. This examination is being held by council of architecture, New Delhi. The major purpose of this examination is to test the observation and drawing skills, aesthetic sensitivity, sense of proportion and critical thinking ability of a candidate through his performance in the exam.
NATA 2017 Notification
Students who are complying with the eligibility criteria as per the NATA 2017 brochure that is 10th class qualification or its equivalent from any of the recognized university or board can apply and appear for the exam. Candidates who have secured a minimum of forty percentages score, which means a minimum of 80 marks for 200 will be declared qualified in NATA 2017.
NATA 2017 Notification will be released by council of architecture for admitting candidates into undergraduate course in architecture. The prospective aspirants who are desirous of studying bachelor of architecture can enroll themselves in this examination. The test will measure the aptitude capability of the candidate in two sections, the one being a paper based section for checking the drawing potential and the other is a computer based section for testing the aesthetic sensitivity of the candidates.
Though dates for NATA 2017 not announced yet formally, it is expected that the registration will be opening anywhere during March 2017. Phase 1 test is likely to be conducted in the last week of May 2017 and phase 2 test will be conducted in the end of August 2017. Candidates can register only through online in the official portal of NATA.
Once the NATA 2017 brochure has been out, the prospective candidates can explore all necessary information from the brochure. The brochure will include details about NATA 2017 like eligibility conditions for candidates to appear for the test, test fees, registration process, NATA dates, test center regulations and procedure for both the computer based and paper based tests, test content, scoring process, score card, mark list, etc. Students who successfully clear NATA will be admitted into Government College or any of the private colleges for the course of B.Arch.
