NIMCET is the exam conducted by the NIT as an entrance exam in MCA. All NIT is included in the NIMCET 2018 exam, candidates get their admissions occurs on Rank base. NIMCET 2018 is commonly known as NIT MCA Common Entrance Test, which is All India Level Test which is conducted by the NIT for getting the admittance to the MCA program.

NIMCET 2018

The admittance to NIT at Agartala, Bhopal, Calicut etc. for the year 2018-2019 is on the basis of the ranks found in NIMCET 2018 only. The course & syllabus of the Master of Computer Application (MCA) program offered by NIT which is designed for seeing the needs of different Information Technology firms in India and in foreign countries. This degree provides graduates a high possible for jobs in IT sector.

NIMCET Eligibility Criteria

  • Indian candidates must secure 60% marks or must have 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale (55% marks or 6.0 for SC, ST) in B.SC, BCA, B.SC (HONORS), BIT of three years.
  • CPGPA other than 10 will be converted to point scale based on unitary method.
  • Candidate can who are from open universities are also eligible to apply only if they’re approved by UCC/AICTE and Distance Education Council (DEC) of Government of India.

Students who are looking for the qualifying exams, they are also eligible for applying NIMCET 2018 and such candidates will have to send proof of a certificate delivered by the Head of institutions. As failing to do so will cancel their admission by respective NIT.

Payment receipts are generated after paying processing fees through NIMCET 2018 website only.

NIMCET 2018 Registration Fee

All the eligible candidates should register themselves on the website by creating a username and password between Feb 2018 and April 2018 till 5:00 pm. One time password or an OTP will be sent to the applicants mobile during the process of registration which needs to enter the OTP process while registering. Documents required for registration are:

Payment receipt is generated after the paying process through NIMCET 2018 website only.

Passport Size photograph is required and scanned copy with size maximum size of 30kb, signature with maximum size 10kb.

All the certificates and marks of 10th class and qualifying degrees.

Then candidate must fill the application form and take the printout of the generated application form. Completed application form along with all relevant documents should reach Secretary NIMCET 2018 latest on 04-2018.

NIMCET 2018 Important Dates

  • Online application forms will be made available on February 2018.
  • Last date to receive the forms is April 2018.
  • NIMCET Exam will be conducted in May 2018.

NIMCET Syllabus 2018

Candidates have to prepare the topics Maths, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness and General English. All the questions will be multiple based questions. The time duration of the examination is 2 hours with a total number of questions 120.

NIMCET 2018 exam pattern

The NIMCET exam contains 120 multiple choice basis questions with 4 choices in each question. Each correctly answered carries 4 marks and each wrong deducts 2 marks. The time duration is two and half hours. The candidates have to mark the answers in OMR sheets given at the time of examination.

Candidates have to bring HB pencil, eraser and ball point pen. Calculator or mobile are not allowed. If the candidates are caught with these things, his/her paper will be canceled and actions can be taken. The question paper contains 120 multiple choice questions covering the topics which are as follows:

Topics Questions:

  • Maths: 50 Questions
  • Computer Awareness: 10 Questions
  • General English: 20 Questions
  • Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning: 40 Questions
  • TOTAL: 120 Questions

NIMCET Admission Procedure 2018

The candidates who have appeared and obtained the marks in NIMCET 2018 will be allotted ranks. The candidates who obtained rank in NIMCET 2018 are eligible for admission into MCA program at the institutes. Candidates are requested to read the brochure and visit the website for regular updates till the end of counselings.

NIMCET 2018 Admit Card

The NIMCET admit card will be made available for download on the official website at last week before the examination date. The candidate has to provide his or her registration number in order to auto-generate the NIMCET admit card and print it. The candidate has to carry the NIMCET admit card at the examination as provided the NIMCET admit card at the examination time is mandatory. The NIMCET Admit card is an important document and hence the candidate has to retain the Admit card during the whole process of admission and provide it when and where required.

NIMCET Answer Key 2018

The answer key of the NIMCET examination will be made available by the examination department on the official website within a few days of the conduction of the examination. The students have to log in and download the NIMCET answer key. The key is the solution for the questions that have appeared in the examination.
